TATTOOED UNDER FIRE

Nancy Schiesari’s film Tattooed Under Fire about young recruits to the US Army will be shown throughout the US this autumn. More details here. The film, made with support from ITVS, is now available for broadcast worldwide via distributors DR Medier. The film is described as “a sensitive and heartbreaking journey into the psychological casualties of war” by filmmaker Rick Linklater.

WAR FEELS LIKE WAR - NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD!

Esteban Uyarra’s award winning film War Feels Like War is now available on DVD. The film scooped a number of top international awards and reached the final nominations in the 2004 Grierson Awards in the category of best newcomer. It was awarded first place in its category at the MovieEye/Kinoglaz festival in Tver, Russia. The film received an Honourable Mention in the Best International Documentary category at Hot Docs in Toronto and was screened twice during the festival. THE HEADMASTER AND THE HEADSCARVES

Part of BBC 2’s ‘This World’ strand, The Headmaster and the Headscarves has now been seen in many countries in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, South East Asia and Canda. Filmed over several months with unique access to a Paris school, it follows the story of a group of Muslim girls who the law says must remove their veils.  The film attracted a record number of comments to the This World ‘Have Your Say’ site.

The film was screened at the Sietar Congress in Granada, Spain in October 2008
